Explore the musical worlds of ‘folk’ and ‘Baroque’ and the unlikely connections between celebrated 18th-century composers from opposite ends of Europe. Drawing from Irish, Scottish, English and Italian traditions, this program includes music by the Irish harper Turlough O’Carolan and Scotland’s tune collector James Oswald, sonatas by Arcangelo Corelli and Antonio Vivaldi, grounds from the Division Flute, and a small surprise or two. With a magical sound world of early harps, flutes and cello, this is delightful music to brighten the darkening days of Fall.
